HOME REMODELING PROCESS & CONSULTATION

Our home remodeling process beings with a consultation to understand not only the building site and existing structures, but also how the client wants to live and move through the finished space. We consider the whole house with every project and how the remodeled elements will integrate with and support the original home.

Our Seven Steps To Project Success

1. Design Agreement
During the home remodeling process, signed Design Agreements provide prospective customers our commitment to create a fixed cost analysis for their desired projects. The fee for Design Agreements cover the cost for our Estimator to determine the fixed price of a project. Fees vary depending on the scope of the project. Design Agreement fees will be credited on the last invoice once a project is complete
2. Fixed Cost Analysis

We begin with the end in mind, and the end is always the same – happy customers with exceptional results that will last a lifetime. This means we do our homework on the front end. Our Estimator uses detailed information provided by prospective customers to determine the fixed cost for every custom project.

3. Project Agreement and Timeline

Once our Estimator has determined the fixed cost, our Customer Representative creates and presents a Project Agreement. This agreement includes the project’s fixed price cost, an estimated start date and timeline, and reasonable allowances for fixtures, appliances, finishes, tile, and other custom details. Fixed pricing and allowances eliminate the worry of project costs going over.

4. Preconstruction Meeting and Introduction to Project Leader

Our preconstruction meetings include an introduction to the Project Leader who will be leading the project, as well as an opportunity for customers to ask any last minute questions. We find this time invaluable, and home owners appreciate knowing who their point of contact will be before we roll up in their driveway.

5. Active Project

We love what we do, and we do it well. We also realize home renovations can be a source of stress for some customers. Our field and administrative teams work together to create a safe and positive environment; from secure and tidy job sites, to respect for family routines and pet safety, we do what we can to minimize our impact on the daily lives of our customers.

  • Buildertrend
Once projects are active, customers are invited to download Buildertrend Construction Management app for streamlined communications, photo updates, selection choices, daily job log postings from our field team, change order approvals, and current weather conditions. Our customers can access current information on their projects from anywhere in the world.
  • Biweekly Invoicing
We set a schedule for billing every two weeks, and offer early payment discounts for invoices that are paid within 24hrs utilizing a safe and convenient link for online payments.
  • Change Orders In the event we discover an unforeseen challenge which requires additional care, or customers request additional work or make selections outside the scope or allowance of the original project, we provide a change order for written approval in Buildertrend.
  • Weekly Progress Inspections and Communications with Customer Representative
Our Production Leader and Customer Representative are in regular communication with our Project Leaders to ensure every building code is enforced, and every detail is achieved.
6. Final Walkthrough

Our Customer Representative and Production Leader make final walkthroughs with our customers once projects are complete. We want to see every detail complete, and smiles on our customers.

7. Ongoing Support
We periodically check in with past customers, and are only a phone call away should they need us.  We are never gone and they are never forgotten. We look forward to serving past customers with future remodeling projects and home maintenance needs.

Sustainability

Whenever possible during the home remodeling process, we use renewable, recycled or otherwise sustainable materials that will marry with existing finishes and stand the test of time. We also clean up after ourselves each day to the best of our ability, leaving the worksite in manageable condition between working hours—we know it can be trying living in a home where construction is ongoing.

Let’s Work Together

Together we can make something special
